Dr. Grimes is a LaGrange, Georgia native and a graduate from Berry College and The Medical College of Georgia. He completed two residencies as part of the LSU-Shreveport/CHRISTUS Schumpert program in the areas of General Surgery and Colon & Rectal. Dr. Grimes served on active duty in The United States Air Force prior to returning to full time practice with the Colon & Rectal Associates in 1990. Dr. Grimes is board certified by The American Board of Surgery and The American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgery, as well as the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. He is a Fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and The American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons.
Dr. Stratton is a Petersburg, Indiana native and a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington and The Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He completed his General Surgery & Colon and Rectal Residency at St. Louis University in Missouri. Dr. Stratton joined Colon & Rectal Associates in 1998. As the current Program Director for the LSUHS Fellowship Program, Dr. Stratton serves as the faculty advisor to the colon and rectal surgery fellows. Dr. Stratton is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at LSU-Shreveport and is board certified by The American Board of Surgery, American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgery, and Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. He is a Fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and The American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons.
A Shreveport, Louisiana native, Dr. Werner is a graduate from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina and LSU Medical School in New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed his General Surgery Residency in Macon, Georgia at the Medical Center of Central Georgia/Mercer University and his Colon & Rectal Fellowship at Baylor University in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Werner also completed an additional Fellowship in Coloproctology as a Specialist Registrar at St. Mark’s Hospital in London, England. In 2003, Dr. Werner returned to full time practice with Colon and Rectal Associates in Shreveport. Dr. Werner is board certified by The American Board of Surgery and The American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgery, as well as Louisiana Board of Medical Examiners. He is a Fellow of both American College of Surgeons as well as The American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons.
